Also I know there is a Manga Recommendation thread around and that basically what youre doing here is recommending and posting manga info. But i consider that these two "genres" are just sidelines to continue an anime or manga and i dont see it as a genre. Cuz if it were like that, then we have to consider a label for heterosexual mangas and animes. In fact by this i think that this far more easy for users to browse in and many will take the opening to talk about these kind topics.Reason for this is for the constant misunderstanding readers and viewers get when they say that they like yaoi & yuri. Cuz lets face it, there is a vast amount of readers, may it be a guy or girl, that take a liking to read this material and I'm one of them. ^^

Plot Summary: Kurogane Nagi is a sword scholarship student of Tenchi Academy. However, she can't go to school because she is undergoing rehabilitation. Therefore, her twin little sister, Hayate, disguises herself as Nagi to go to the school. In the school, the scholarship student must fight against other scholarship students to win higher ranks. But because Hayate's only interest is how to pretend to be Nagi, she isn’t interested in the fights.

However, she knows that their asylum is 8 million yen in debt, and they are harassed by the collectors. She resolves her mind to take part in the fight. The participant gets 50 thousand yen if he or she wins a bout, and gets 1 million yen if he goes to the next rank.

Because the participant must have a partner, Hayate asks Mudo Ayana to be her partner. Ayana is a good swordsman, but she doesn't take part in the fighting somehow. First Ayana thinks Hayate annoying, but in order to face her ex-partner whom Ayana injured during the fighting, she cooperates with Hayate.

Plot Summary: A young pop idol, Tachibana Julia, who at 16, is both popular and busy in her entertainment career, is asked by her agent (a dorky little guy) to take a new upcoming talent under her wing, show her the ropes, etc. Julia objects flat out. She's no dummy - and this new kid would be her rival. There's no *way* she's going to train up the person who might end up stealing her career!

That is, until she opens the office door and finds herself face to face with Asakawa Ran, the tall, attractive upcoming new talent. Julia does a complete 180 and demands to be the new kid's mentor.

There's an anime for Kannazuki no Miko aslo, but it is licensed so you'll have to find it on your own.

The Kannazuki no Miko is a great manga. Be warned though as it contains border line hentai. I wonder what Strawberry Panic Manga would be like then Too bad it is licensed.

I know i was so relieved that it didnt pass that borderline cuz then i wasnt gonna be able to share this wonderful manga.

It gets saucy but it stays under 18 so check it out...awesome storyline!!!

Maria Sama Ga Miteru

Plot Summary: The setting is Lillian Academy, a private Catholic all-girls school where the student council is known as the Yamayurikai (Mountain Lily Council) and younger students are taken under the wing of older students through a system known as the "soeur system" ("soeur" is French for "sister"). The main character, Yumi, who is basically a nobody, suddenly finds herself interacting with the members of the Yamayurikai and their soeurs, most notably her crush, the talented, beautiful, and withdrawn Sachiko...

Well Problem is that if its hentai then it couldnt be posted but as long as it stays under 18 its more than welcome...but true Yuri is Yuri as for Yaoi is Yaoi no matter what...but the contents are what makes it possible to be put here...

Yuri Tengoku Anthology

Vol.2


Plot Summary: An anthology of fluffy school-age stories; also called "Girls' Heaven."
In "Shining Mars," Aya loves her childhood friend Yuna but Yuna is good at everything and Aya worries that she's not good enough for her. The metaphor of Earth and Mars is used to describe their relationship/situation.
"Omoi no Kisetsu" is about what happens when two nuns-in-training are discovered to be having a relationship with each other.
In "Rooftop," a girl confesses her love to her crush many, many times, but her crush thinks that she's just saying it out of pity.
"Bound By A Red String" is another all-girls' boarding school story, in which romance blooms between two roommates.
In "The Glade in the Forest Behind the School," two girls share a secret place, and become close because of it.
"I'm Here" is an extremely short story (4 pages) in which a girl returns to a place she lived in as a child and sees a childhood friend again.
The yuri in "She, I, and the Red Book" is more subtext than maintext, but it's a nevertheless sweet story about two girls and a book with a startlingly red cover.
"You're Lovelier Than a Rose" is a parody about an all-girls school with an underground student council that's a bit... unusual. It makes a few funny references, to things like Marimite and Takarazuka.
In "Autumn Sleepiness," two girls are stuck coming into school on a Sunday to do work for the Student Council. But why is one of them so sleepy?
The setting of "Beyond This Sky" is a religious private school for orphans. A girl consoles a new student who has just come to the school.
"Friends" is the story of two particular girls who become friends, one of whom just happens to be the Board Chairman of their school.
In "My Partner," which takes place at a nursing school for girls, the main character befriends another girl whom nobody likes and ends up going overboard when practicing CPR on her.
"Princess Academy" is about girls who are training to be "illusionists."

Plot Summary: The manga version of Simoun. Though it runs in Yuri Hime, we're listing it separately because it's a joint with Dynasty-Scans.
Simoun is the story of a world in which everyone is born female but must choose a gender when they reach a certain age. There is a war going on-- one nation is seeking to get control of the technology of another nation, namely the holy machines known as Simoun. These machines can only be piloted by people who have yet to commit to a gender.
The Simoun tankoubon (collected volume) contains an extra story called "Intermission" in addition to the three regular chapters.
Lililicious has scanlated a couple other things by Hayase-- a one-shot from Yuri Shimai 2 called "The Two of Us" and a Marimite doujinshi called Sakura (Cherry Blossoms).

hm.. I'm gonna revive this threde with a question hey just don't be mad but maybe somebody knows how many chapters in Japan of Strawberry panic are released? I've read 12 translated but ugh... I'm kinda wondering how many there are I've wathed the anime for the second time and just couldn't stop myself from reading the manga which is actually really different from the anime so... damn I want more of it
